Apple has released the third developer beta for iOS 5 in its dev channel. iTunes 10.5 Beta 3 has also been made available and is required for syncing with iOS 5 Beta 3.
iOS 5 Beta 3 is available for the:
- iPad, iPad 2
- iPhone 4 (GSM/CDMA)
- iPhone 3GS
- iPod Touch (3rd/4th gen)
- Apple TV
If you’ve already jailbroken your build of the iOS 5 beta, be warned that updating to Beta 3 will make you lose your jailbreak.
Following the release of iOS 5 beta 3 earlier, Apple also updated iTunes to version 10.5 beta 3. Needless to say that this update is for developers only, although it seems stable enough for anyone to use, assuming you know where to get it.
If you’re a registered developer, head over to your account and start downloading!

If you just downloaded iOS 5 beta 3, you will need to install iTunes 10.5 beta 3 in order to install the latest iOS version on your device. From what I see, iTunes 10.5 beta 3 is safe for jailbreakers so there is nothing to worry on that side…
You can download iTunes 10.5 beta 3 from your developer account.
