Are you itching to get rid of your old iPhone to make room for the iPhone 5 this Fall? What about an extra iPad, iPod, or even computer lying around the house? Apple wants to buy back your old tech! But not Available in Malaysia yet...
Apple’s electronics recycling program allows you to mail in old Apple products in exchange for a gift card. If the device is in good enough shape, you’ll get pretty decent compensation for that old iPhone that would have probably just sat on your desk otherwise.
“Turn that iPhone, iPad, or computer—Mac or PC—you’re not using anymore into something brand new. Send it to us and we’ll determine if it qualifies for reuse. If it does, that means your device has monetary value that we’ll apply to an Apple Gift Card, which you can use for purchases at any Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store. If your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC doesn’t qualify for reuse, we’ll recycle it responsibly at no cost to you.”
Apple’s recycling program has been going on for years, but now is a better time than ever to start thinking about sending in your outdated — or soon-to-be outdated — Apple electronics.
If you’ve got an old iPhone, iPod, iPad or Mac to give back, fill out Apple’s Reuse and Recycle form. If you’re honest about the condition that your device is in, Apple will send you back a gift card to match your initial quote. If Apple changes the value of your old tech, you’ll be notified.
Shipping and postage is free, and you’ll get a box sent to your house to put your tech in before you send it away. Gift cards will be sent “within three weeks.”
When Apple will release recycling program in Malaysia? What do u think?
